Home and Hospital
Program:
Home and Hospital is a temporary program that is provided for a child who has a physical and/or emotional disability and is unable to attend regular full day classes. A credentialed teacher will provide one hour of home instruction per school day to help maintain a student's academic standing during the time of illness or other temporary disability. This service is made available when the absence is expected to be four weeks or longer. The maximum time for this program is twelve weeks. In order to continue Home and Hospital instruction beyond the 12 weeks the attending physician must re-submit a Home and Hospital referral form.
Grades eligible:
K - 12
Requirements:
-Home and Hospital form completed by a licensed physician requesting program.
-A responsible adult (18 years or older) must be present when the teacher is in a home.
