The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District Board of Education continues to move forward with its workforce housing initiative. The Board of Education received a presentation on September 9, 2025, from Education Housing Partners on this project.

Each February, the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District joins schools and communities across the nation in recognizing Black History Month, a time to honor the achievements, contributions, and enduring impact of African Americans on the history, culture, and progress of the United States.
